How do I get to Abijou Hongdae from Incheon Airport?
Take the AREX Airport Railroad and stay on it — Hongik Univ. Station is a direct ride with no transfer. The station is where the Airport Railroad, Subway Line 2 and the Gyeongui–Jungang Line meet, so you can also carry on to the rest of Seoul from the same platform level. From Exit 1 it is 80–90 m to Abijou Medical Clinic Hongdae, a 1–2 minute walk.
Which Hongik Univ. Station exit should I use?
Exit 1 is the closest — 80–90 m, a 1–2 minute walk. Come out of Exit 1, keep walking straight past the 8Seconds store, and the building with MEGABOX in it is the one. Abijou Medical Clinic Hongdae is on the 3rd floor.
I will be coming straight from the airport with a suitcase. Is that workable?
The walk is short and flat — 80–90 m from Exit 1, so 1–2 minutes even with luggage, which is why people fit this branch in on an arrival or departure day.
Is the Hongdae branch registered with the Korean government to treat foreign patients?
Yes. Abijou Medical Clinic Hongdae is a registered foreign patient institution under Korea's Act on Support for Overseas Expansion of Healthcare System and Attraction of Foreign Patients, and the registration is currently active. The target countries recorded on this branch's filing are Japan, China and Mongolia. That list belongs to the registration for attracting foreign patients — it describes the markets the branch filed for, not a restriction on which nationalities may be treated here.
I am from the United States and it is not on that list. Does that stop me booking?
No. The United States is not among the target countries recorded on the Hongdae branch's registration — Japan, China and Mongolia are — but that list is part of the foreign-patient attraction filing rather than a limit on who may receive care. Booking and treatment are not restricted by nationality, and English is supported at the branch alongside Korean, Japanese and Chinese. If you would rather check the filing than take our word for it, the registry link is in the next answer.
How can I verify that registration myself before I book?
Look the clinic up in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Medical Korea registry at medicalkorea.or.kr. The registered representative for the Hongdae branch is Jae-wook Kim. The registry record shows the current registration status and the designated target countries — Japan, China and Mongolia — so the primary source is public and you can read it yourself.
Does the doctor actually speak English, or is everything through an interpreter?
Abijou's official doctor listing publishes the languages each chief MD speaks, and for the Hongdae branch it lists Korean and English for Jae-wook Kim, chief MD. English, Japanese and Chinese are supported at the branch alongside Korean.
Who performs the treatment — the doctor, or a nurse?
Jae-wook Kim, chief MD, handles consultations and treatments at the Hongdae branch, so the person you consult is the person treating you rather than one name from a rota.
Do you offer laser hair removal?
Yes. It is one of the nine treatment categories at Hongdae, split into women's and men's programs, and it does not appear on the Gangnam or Myeongdong treatment lists. The number of sessions depends on the area, hair density and follicle thickness, so the plan is set at the consultation. A Clarity laser hair removal promotion is running to 31 December 2026.
Is there a cheaper price for a first visit?
Seventeen items are on the first-visit list. It applies only to visits on weekdays between 11:00 and 17:00, and the exact items and prices are published on the event page of the official reservation center.
Can I see prices before I come in, or do I have to book a consultation first?
You can see them first. Per-treatment prices are published on the official reservation center — pricing is not held back until a consultation. These are non-covered services and VAT is not included, and first-visit and promotional prices change often, so check again close to your visit date.
Is a deposit required, and do I have to pay online in advance?
No to both. All payment is made at the clinic during your visit, and nothing can be charged through the website at all. Holding a booking costs you nothing up front, and there is no cancellation charge to recover because nothing was taken.
Do foreign patients pay a different price from Korean patients?
No. The price quoted is the official published price list as it stands, and there is no separate foreign-patient rate. What you actually pay can differ from the listed figure only because of a promotion or a first-visit condition in effect at the time — the weekday 11:00–17:00 window on the first-visit list, for instance — and those apply to everyone booking under them.
Which payment methods do you accept?
What is settled: payment is made in person at the clinic, there is no deposit, and nothing is charged online in advance.
Which lifting devices does the Hongdae branch actually have?
Ten of them: Ultherapy PRIME, Thermage, Oligio, Shurink Universe, InMode, ONDA, Soprano Titanium, Liftera, Ten Triple and V-RO. Each has its own price page on this branch's treatment menu in the official reservation center, which is how you can confirm a device is here rather than at another branch.
How do I know the toxin or filler is genuine?
Toxin is chosen by preparation rather than handed to you unnamed — domestic and German-made products are listed separately on the price list with separate prices, so what you are paying for is named before you agree to it. The devices listed on this page are only those that appear on the Hongdae treatment menu in the official reservation center, so the list can be checked against a source we do not control.
How long should I leave between a treatment and my flight home?
Downtime differs by treatment, and the interval to leave before flying is a clinical judgement rather than a fixed rule. Bring your departure date to the consultation — the plan is set after your skin is examined, and a near-term flight changes what is sensible to do.
Which treatments have the least downtime if I only have a few days in Seoul?
Tell us your dates at the consultation and the plan is built around them rather than around a standard course. Medical skincare programs are also used to get skin into condition before and after a procedure, which is often what fits a short trip.
How far in advance should I book?
Weekday evenings and Saturdays are the slots that fill first, and the first-visit prices only apply on weekdays between 11:00 and 17:00, which concentrates demand in that window too. The official reservation center shows live availability, so you can see how far out the first open slot is rather than guessing.
What are your opening hours, and is there a lunch break?
Weekdays 10:30–20:30 with a lunch break from 14:00 to 15:00, so there is no consultation or treatment in that hour. Saturday runs straight through from 10:00 to 16:30 with no lunch break. Closed on Sunday and on public holidays.
Are you open on Sunday?
No — the Hongdae branch is closed on Sunday and on public holidays. If Sunday is the only day that works for you, the Abijou Myeongdong branch is open on Sunday from 09:30 to 18:00.
Is there parking?
Use the underground car park of the MEGABOX building. With a skincare treatment the first hour is free; after that it is KRW 1,000 per 10 minutes. Most people arriving from the airport come by train instead — Exit 1 of Hongik Univ. Station is 80–90 m away.
What treatments does the Hongdae branch offer?
Nine categories and 61 treatments: Laser Lifting Treatments, Botox & Facial Contouring, Medical Skincare, Laser Hair Removal, Skin Booster, Pigmentation, Acne & Pores, Anti-Aging Treatments, Dermal Fillers and Body Contouring. That is the eight categories the Gangnam and Myeongdong branches run, plus laser hair removal. The full list with prices is on the official reservation center.
Is this the same clinic as abijouonline.com, and how many branches are there?
Yes. This site is the Hongdae branch's own page; abijouonline.com is the Abijou Medical Clinic official site and reservation center. The Hongdae branch opened on 10 January 2025 and is one of 16 branches across Korea. Booking, the full price list and the terms of service all live on the official site.
What is the clinic's Google rating?
4.8 out of 5 from 784 Google reviews, checked on 8 September 2026. The rating is Google's, not ours — the link in the reviews section opens the Google Maps listing so you can read the reviews yourself.
